Achillies Apollo Nyx 8W Hand-Wired Guitar Amplifier Combo
Small in footprint, big in character — the Apollo Nyx 8W is a compact, handcrafted tube combo that delivers striking tonal depth and expressive performance well beyond its size. Designed for players who want rich British-leaning tone, responsive feel, and versatile functionality in a low-wattage package, the Nyx is equally at home in the studio, at home, or on intimate stages.
At its heart, the Nyx uses a single EL34 power tube, paired with a 12AX7 preamp and a flexible rectifier section. A dedicated switch allows you to choose between tube rectification for a softer, more organic feel, or solid-state rectification for tighter response and increased punch, giving you control of the amp’s touch and dynamic behaviour.
Despite its compact power level, the Nyx punches well above its weight with features not typically found on small combos, including:
