The Apollo Quad Head is a powerful evolution of a revered early American circuit, designed for players who love rich harmonic breakup, touch sensitivity, and raw vintage character—but need more headroom, more punch, and greater control. Built around a classic 5E3-style topology, the Apollo Quad expands the original concept by doubling the output stage and refining it for modern performance.

At its core, the Apollo Quad runs four 6V6 output tubes instead of the traditional pair, delivering 28 watts at full powerwith the unmistakable feel of cathode-biased warmth. A half-power switch drops the output to 14 watts, allowing the amp to move seamlessly between studio-friendly saturation and stage-ready authority.

A built-in master volume adds a level of flexibility not found in early designs, giving you greater control over output level while retaining the dynamic interaction between preamp and power tubes. The use of a GZ34 rectifier tightens the low end and increases punch and headroom, offering a firmer response compared to softer rectifier designs—without losing the organic sag and musical compression players expect.

Tonally, the Apollo Quad Head delivers thick mids, complex overtones, and responsive breakup, with a larger, more commanding low end than its lower-powered counterparts. It excels at edge-of-breakup tones, harmonically rich overdrive, and expressive lead work, responding directly to pick attack and guitar volume changes.
