Achillies Typhon Iconic Slant 4×12 Speaker Cabinet

The Typhon Iconic Slant 4×12 is a bold reinterpretation of the classic tall slant 4×12 format, combining powerful projection with refined tonal balance. Inspired by the size and presence of traditional tall 4×12 cabs, the Typhon Slant delivers massive sound, rich harmonics, and punchy low end — with the comfortable playing dynamics and clarity modern players demand.

Built with uncompromising craftsmanship and tone-first design, the Typhon Slant is perfect for players who want big, bold sound without excessive boominess or muddiness. Whether you’re pushing classic crunch, soaring lead tones, or high-gain rhythmic attacks, this cabinet stays tight, articulate, and musical at all volumes.

Exceptional Projection & Balance
The slanted baffle and enclosed back geometry give the Typhon Iconic Slant a focused low end, articulated mids, and clear, singing highs. The slant profile doesn’t just look iconic — it helps shape the sound in a way that enhances presence on stage and in the studio, offering a slightly forward voice with excellent imaging and dispersion.

    The King of cabs!

Posted by Gavin Spratt on 26th Nov 2021

I've had the Typhon 4x12 Slant cab for some time now. Mine is loaded with an X-pattern of Celestion Creamback 75's and Redback 150's. As with all of my experiences with Achillies cabs in the past, the Typhon is of stellar construction. It's one heavy-duty cab. And it looks the part too. You can tell Labros loves making these monsters. I compared the Typhon head-to-head with my Bogner Helios 4x12 and was floored by the results. The Typhon was equal to the Bogner when used for clean tones. It had the same 3-D shimmer and sparkle that I thought was unique to the Bogner 4x12. But when it came to high-gain tones, there was no comparison. Both cabs had a sizzling mid-range grind. But the Typhon held the low end together with much more authority than the Bogner. And it didn't have the Bogner's scratchy highs that I was always having to dial back with my amp's EQ. And the no-brainer part of the deal is that you get to customise the look of your Achillies cab to match your gear. I'm due for another cab, and this time portability is the key consideration. So I'll be going with a 2x12. But of course, it's going to be another Achillies cab. That'll make it 4 Achillies cabs and counting. Best cabs on the planet! AAA+++
