The AA964 circuit is almost the middle child in the Blackface family, but there’s no middle child syndrome here! The Vibrolux is a desirable amp, sporting two 6L6’s in the output section which drive 35w of luscious vintage tone through a single 12” Jensen AlNiCo, two 10” or, for the ultimate in tonal flexibility, one of each!
The Vibrolux circuit shares similarities with the Super Reverb and so can be thought of as like half a Super. So, if you’ve got an energetic drummer in your band, or simply want a little more of that lush clean headroom than the Princeton or the Deluxe offer to really allow your drive pedals to open up, then the Vibrolux may fit the bill perfectly!
